Blue Knights® Intl LEMC, Nebraska Chapter II members strive for excellence. The recent announcement from the Omaha Police Department that another one of our members, Ofc Corey Clements will be instructing future Omaha Police Officers at the Omaha Police Training Academy comes as a great honor. Corey Clements/V. President NEII will be joining Matt Austin/Sgt at Arms NEII at the training facility.
The training academy exists to train recruits to Police Officers. Recruits receive their first introduction to police work during 24 weeks of classroom instruction. A basic curriculum of 459 hours is mandated by the State, and the Department gives an additional 301 hours to meet the needs of a metropolitan area.
Areas of instruction include:
•Report writing
•Firearms
•Criminal investigations
•Patrol tactics
•Defensive tactics
•Emergency vehicle operations
•Radio procedure
Congrats to Corey and good luck in entering a new chapter in his career. Previous to this assignment Corey was assign as a motor officer, traffic officer and is still a member of the Omaha Police Department Honor Guard.
Your Dedication to the department and your community reflect great credit to yourself, your family and of course the Blue Knights! Corey!
